Just Kinley...

I havnt posted a new blog in about a week. We've been pretty boring lately, so I dont really have much to say. Kinley has a whole bunch of new pictures that I havnt posted, I guess I will just lead right into those...

This is what happens when you put a girl infront of a fan!

And Kinley helping do the laundry...

Then there's me playing with the camera...

And finally this is what happens when I asked Kinley to clean her room...

It's Monday again...

I'm exhausted. Its 9:00pm and I'm just sitting down for the first time since Friday morning. We had a busy/eventful weekend. Let's start with Friday...

About a month ago, I decided to surprise Trevor with Larry the Cable Guy tickets. I actually think what spiked the actual purchase of the tickets was the fact that I needed something to fill this void in my life. After seeing NKOTB in November and Britney in April, I just couldn't resist. I needed something else. So I bought the Larry tickets, 'for Trevor' of course, and I have to say, fan or no fan, he is GREAT in person. Josh Wolf, from Chelsea Lately and My Name is Earl, opened for him. Funny, spontaneous, entertaining...I became a fan from just the 15 minutes he was on stage. Then out came Larry. He emerged from behind the curtain wearing a 01 Cable Guy Mariners uniform with the sleeves cut off (signature Larry). He starts off his show by saying that he switched the plaid shirt for the mariner uniform because he "knows how to kiss ass. Thats right, when it comes to ass kissing, I'm first in line!" It was great! I could go on and on with the jokes that he told, but see, thats the thing about Larry (you like how we are on a first name basis now) 90% of the joke is the way he says it. I could recite them all, but you probably would laugh. Therefore, I will go on to Saturday morning...O and I tried taking pictures but all the lights just whited him out and I didnt want to put an unflattering picture of him up on my blog :)

We woke up early, Trevor before it was light out I think. Had to get the car washed before it warmed up! I got up about 7:00 and got ready. We were heading to Ritzville for Colin and Whitneys couple wedding shower. The weather was gorgeous! I remember now how much I love Eastern Washington (except I like our trees instead of sage brush). We ate beautiful flank steak and chicken fajitas and rice, o and of course margaritas and coronas....look Nikki I took pictures!!

And of course with good food comes good conversation...

Sunday, we got up early and Marvin made his signature sourdough pancakes! Love them...look Nikki...more pictures!!

Then we headed home, exactly 24 hours from when we arrived. Quick trips I think wear me out more than if we were to stay an extra day. The drive back over the mountain was beautiful! Sorry Nikki, no pictures because the designated car loader put my camera in the clear back!! And now its back to reality. I swear someone sneaks into our house while we are gone and uses all the towels! You gotta love this weather though, spring has finally arrived...and summer is literally right around the corner!!

Mothers Day at the Zoo...

I bet your wondering what we did for Mothers Day weekend. Well, even if you're not, I'm going to tell you all about it anyways! :)

Friday after Trevor got home from work, we headed out to the Bolens for BBQ steaks and potato salad (my favorite and a must have for BBQ's). It was nice outside and fun to just sit around and talk with friends. Saturday morning, Trevor did his normal summer Saturday chore. Yes, he washed cars! I swear if DBM doesn't work out, he could open up his own detail shop. Eww...maybe I should keep that to myself. I don't need him getting wild ideas! Anyways, that afternoon we watched my cousin Brandon play a little baseball up in Enumclaw. Its always fun to watch kids play sports, baseball is my favorite because its outside and its generally nice weather. That evening, we ordered pizza and rented Marley and Me. What a GREAT movie. Its been awhile since I have had a good cry during a movie. Anyone who loves dogs and hasn't seen this movie really should go rent it. I realized about 1/4 way thru that Marley had to have been Gabbies Mama in a previous life. Everything Marley did wrong, I swear Gabbie has done something equally naughty....

The vet told us at Gabbie's last check-up that we should probably cut back on her food servings since she has another source of food now, AKA Kinley. Gabbie is in heaven when Kinley's in her chair, and the funniest thing is that Kinley actually shares her food with her.

They share everything from bananas to grilled cheese...see....

yes that is her tongue!

Or how about the time I came home from an early morning Christmas shopping sale to find Trevor still sleeping in bed. The room looked like a feather factory!! Gabbie had chewed up every pillow and completely demolished the down comforter. Dont tell me he didnt know what she was up to!

No picture to compare because I was more worried about restuffing my pillows!

Or how about the time Gabbie, who was about 9 months at the time, decide to get up in the middle of the night and eat a 1 pound bag of pink and white M&M's. Thank God Safeway is 24 hours, and thank God Trevor went to get the hydrogen peroxide and not me :) Looking back at it now, I'm guessing she was just PMS-ing. Typical girl!!

And then there is the millions spent at Victoria Secret. Basically, if you wore it, she will eat it! When we pick up dog do-do in the yard everyone has to go out play 'name that thong'! Some of them could be washed and sewn back together! ok, that's a little gross!

Again, no picture. Unless you want me to go out to the yard and take a picture of a piece of thong. I'm pretty sure I can find one!

Anyways, at the end I realized that even with all those awful devilish things Gabbie does EVERY DAY, I would/will miss her like crazy when its her time to go.

Ok, on to much happier things. On Sunday, I was awoken to the tasty aroma of Trevors french toast and bacon! YUM!! When I came out into the living room...this is what I was greeted with...

The biggest Mom "Bwoon" the store had! That morning we went to the Point Defiance Zoo. It was a lot of fun. Who would have know there would be so many "babies" and "Puppies" at a zoo!! Its so funny because she talks in this high pitched voice whenever there are "babies" or "puppies"! Funny though, come to think of it, there were not any "Gabbies" at the zoo. I guess she knows that one for sure!

We had a really great day. Who ever invented Mothers day, and Fathers Day on that note, is brilliant. Probably hanging out with the same people that created vinyl siding and orange cones :) Hope you guys all had a great weekend. Today is Monday and I'm already looking forward to next weekend...going to see Larry the Cable Guy...GET ER DONE!!!

We're moving to Las Vegas!

Kinley has loved to be the center of attention ever since she was about 8 months old. She has learned how to get everyones attention whether its the old man at the dentist office or the checker at the grocery store. She loves to have people watch her. She recently started taking boxes and standing on them in front of the mirror (someone get this girl a stage!). I told Trevor last night that I think we should move to Vegas...this, however, is not what I had in mind for her...

I guess at least its a good thing she's not in heals yet! :)

Celebrating Cinco De Mayo with Balloons and Britney Spears!

Last night we were just going to stay in and eat rice, Chinese sausage and cabbage (I know...totally wrong for cinco de mayo!), but I knew that the local Mazatlan would look like an Ikea parking lot and I didn't really feel like fighting/waiting for food. Trevor said something about going to Applebees, which sounded good to me because then I didn't have to cook, and I knew it wouldn't be busy because everyone was at Mexican! We got there and decided to celebrate with corona's, daiquiris, nachos and fajitas (OK, Julie and I had the nachos and fajitas. Trevor stayed American with a steak and potato!) It was fun to sit around and have a good conversation. OK, I'll be honest, we eavesdropped on the table next to us conversation! It was quite entertaining, two women in their early 30's talking with a waiter in the bar about their adventures to Germany and all the free drinks that it brought. Then they went on to talk about small town life, one mentioned she was from Omak (I automatically think of the Omak Stampede). It was then that we realized the waiter wasn't continuing this conversation because he was actually interested...yes...he had ulterior motives. I'll let you take this where your mind lets you!

We came home and had a Britney Spears concert. Kinley loves to dance, especially to Britney! You'll also see in all her photos that she is holding on to a balloon or two. She has a small, I'll dare say fetish, with balloons!

To wear or not to wear

I want to start out by saying that I really enjoy weddings. Its the combination of love, family, friends, food, music, conversation and atmosphere that make it the perfect recipe for a good time. However, there is one problem that I always have...what in the hell am I going to wear? There are so many rules...black gives the depression impression, white is 'rude' to the bride, pants or capris are to casual and dont wear anything to loud that makes you the center of attention....the list goes on and on. I a m so worried about this because we have four weddings between June and September and I have no clue what I'm going to wear (I've actually bought and returned 3 dresses already). So I've decided to call out for reinforcements. I need your opinions and suggestions. Here's what I have found so far:

So there are a few of the millions I've looked at. You know, come to think of it, if people would just let me be in their wedding, then I wouldnt have to worry about what to wear! Is it rude to ask if I can be a bridesmaid??

To Joke Or Not To Joke...

Just watching the news and this is what came to my mind:

I was driving to Wilbur one summer evening to spend the weekend with my parents. I remember it was right after we got Gabbie because she was just a puppy sleeping in the passenger seat. I was driving my ole Malibu, you know the car I had babied since I was 15. Right around Sun Lakes, about 8:30 in the evening, and I had been driving awhile so I may have been slightly speeding. I crested a hill and noticed when I got to the top on the left side was a big buck (that's a male deer for you west-siders) BIG!! I hit the brakes, Gabbie went flying off the passenger seat to the floorboard. Of course, the deer ran into the side of my car smashing the drivers door so it wouldn't open and screwed up the hood and fender. Freaked me out! I realize looking back at it now that when I saw the deer I didn't think that it would literally hit me. Its almost as if I expected him to come close but that was it. I mean, I could have slammed on the brakes a lot harder, but didn't really feel like I needed to. That was when I realized that I spend a lot of time just watching whats going on around me, but maybe not taking things seriously or literally.

The news is talking about Swine Flu. They closed down a school close to us because a kid apparently has it. So I sit here and think, "I have heard all this crap about this swine flu, and now its close to me and I don't know anything about it" I got on the Internet and did some research. It was actually really boring, but I did come across this that I think is pretty funny and worth sharing:

HA! OK, so its not nice or probably appropriate, which brings us back to my issue. I shouldn't joke about swine flu...
