one down...

I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. Last Saturday, Trevor's little brother, Colin, got hitched. Which means, only 2 weddings left...and one of them is in Vegas!! YAHOO!! But I will write more about that after it takes place, I dont want to take the spotlight off of colin and whitney's beautiful wedding. It was at the Annie Wright school in downtown Tacoma. Its a neat place, the outside is absolutely beautiful, the inside reflects its 1800 construction that has been converted into a school. I heard a rumor that this school is where all the Washingtonians send their kids (i know....there are so many celebs in washington right). I can confirm i didnt see anyone famous. colin and whitney had planned to have the wedding take place outside at the courtyard. if the weather didnt cooperate, which you would pretty much expect sun in the middle of august, there is a small chapel inside the school. the week before their wedding, seattle had record temperatures. we were well over 100 for 3 days in a row. I was getting worried that maybe everyone had prayed for a little to much sunshine!! well, go figure, the entire week before the saturday production...it rained. no....let me rephrase that...it thundered, it lightninged (Is that a word??) it POORED down rain!! I was worried. Thursday, all of Trevor's family arrived so we decided to have a bbq at our house. let me tell you, 25 people in a 1100 sq ft house. yeah, tight quarters!

and so saturday came, and low and behold...the sun was out!! i swear whitney and her bridesmaids did the sunshine dance all night before the wedding!

The wedding was really nice. Everything came together great and all of colin and whitneys hard work paid off!! I chased a very busy flower girl around all day, so i didnt have a lot of time to take pictures, but here is a few things i did capture from the day

So that was it. Its over, and time to move on to the next event. This weekend, I'm helping host a shower for Chris's fiance, Karlie, in Ritzville. The weekend after that...I'M HOME ALONE!! God, it cant come soon enough!! I have a list a mile long of things to get done around here. Can you guess one #1 on that list is....thats right...sit my ass on the couch and watch what I want to watch!! no dog to bother me, no husband telling me he doesnt want to watch this, no kid yelling over the tv. its going to be glorious!! Now watch, I say all this now, but come sunday at 11:00, i'll be ready for them to come home :)

Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

OK, so maybe not. I have been praying for cooler weather and even rain (I know right, only people who live in Seattle are actually happy when it rains) These last couple of weeks have been crazy hot. Its actually been hotter here than in death valley...what??? Is that even possible? I was driving home from work last tuesday and the temp in the car read 109. ONE HUNDREN AND NINE!! with 80% humidity...that is death. Our A/C's ran non stop for 8 days straight. But hey, I was just thankful to have at least a window A/C. I havnt seen Applebees in Bonney Lake that busy since their opening day. We noticed on day 5 of the heat wave that the fridge had been running hard for about 2 days. When Trevor took some cheese out of the fridge and it wasnt cold, we knew we had a problem. Well, turns out the heat isnt just hard on people and pets...its really hard on your appliances too. So, we bought a new fridge. YAHOO!! I'm always up for new appliances...new anything for that matter :)

We have a really busy next couple of weeks. Let me break it down for you like this:

This weekend colin and whitney are getting married
next weekend I'm doing a wedding shower for Karlie (chris wahls bride to be)
the weekend after is chris's bachelor party (i'm not attending!)
after that is labor day on the lake!
then its Chris and Karlies wedding in colfax
after that is our 3 year anniversary where I insisted on Trevor planning something without me knowing, but i have dropped hints about the beach.
and then its time to start slowing down. summer will be officially over, even though it still feels like it just started (thanks to cascade marine center).

last but probably most important (you like how i make you wait until the end!) here is miss kinley. she's wild...and i dont mean that as a joke. i cannot believe some of the things she comes up with. her latest..jumping off everything!! the couch, the bed, laundry baskets, and now she is trying to climb the baby gates and jump off of those! W-I-L-D!!

"The Splits" her signature move

We were teaching her how to do headstands. This is what she learned!

Kinleys friend from Colins bachelor party. Totally inappropriate but to funny to resist.

I Have A Dream...

Trevor has 'given me permission' to re-decorate Kinleys bedroom this winter. So of course, the ideas have started flying. I spent about an hour on google looking for paint ideas, decoration ideas, basically anything to design the room around. So here it is...

I love the idea of the circus tent stripes! Circus tent stripes and butterflies. God, I just hope I can pull it off~

A lot happend this weekend. But I'm going to have to save it for another day as I havnt even packed my lunch, Kinleys daycare bag, or picked out my cloths for tomorrow (yes, its a little elementry school, but hey...5 extra minutes of sleep is worth it!) Plus, tomorrow is a late night with the Bachelorette-The Men Tell All. I hope they beat Wes to a pulp!!

finally a chance to breath...

Wow, I decided I should update this since I haven't been on here since I started my job. When I went to sign in, I actually forgot my password. I guess that's a sign that I just don't have the time that I used to! My last blog was about my new job, and I have been running ever since. Time in this house is precious (even though I have managed to get a few gigs in on Guitar Hero the last few nights). My evenings are now spent packing diaper bags, baths, dinner, dishes, laundry, lunches, and hopefully a few minutes to spend playing with Kinley. Speaking of which, she is doing AWESOME! Daycare is going good. she hasn't learned anything new yet, good or bad. She sure does have quiet the personality now. she is VERY independent, and at times (or all the time) a tad bit bossy! I'm hoping its just a phase, but everyone I've talked to says it last until they are about 4, if they grow out of it at all....great.

The 4th came and went. I had to work Thursday. Trevor, on the other hand, has now decided that since I'm working, he can be 'housewife' whenever its convenient. So him, Kinley and Gabbie took off Wednesday morning. Which is ok, because Wednesday night, I was home all alone...I ate Jack in the Box for dinner and watched my TV shows (yes...its So You Think You Can Dance). It was rather relaxing! Thursday after work, I headed over the mountain with what I thought would be everyone else...but actually I was one of the only people on the road (besides the creeper truckers..."Candycane" EWW...I just gave myself chills!). I guess I keep forgetting that we are in a recession and not everyone is traveling across state! It wasn't as hot over there this year, which was ok because that means I didn't get as cranky as fast and for the 1st time a long time, I didn't come back burnt!

Daddy's attempt at a ponytail. Hey, I got to give him credit for trying!
She LOVES the boat!

And so does Mommy because its a guaranteed nap!

The little diva at the fashion show!

Ever seen 7 skiers behind one boat? Well, we do it every year, and its always a crowd pleas er!

Launching pad #1

Ready to refill

Launching pad #2

We finally got some progress on our boat. The attorney is working with the previous owner to get a full refund. Basically we will be selling the boat back to him. Actually, I should rephrase that because the awesome dealership, Cascade Marine Center, still hasn't produced a title for the bank, therefore, we haven't paid any sales tax or licensing because the boat has never been transfered to Washington state. WHAT FUCKS! *excuse my language but when it comes time to these idiots, there isn't a word bad enough!!* I just cannot believe that a business operates like this. So, I should say we are 'giving the boat back' in exchange for our money back. ERR...its getting really frustrating. We have owned this boat since May 3rd...MAY THIRD!!! Finally, we just got sick and tired of sitting in the house looking outside at the 80 degree weather. So...what did we do you ask?? Well, lets just say, Trevor has given birth. He has produced a baby that I must admit is pretty damn sweet!

Yup, we went out and bought another boat! WHAT you ask were we thinking?? I haven't totally decided that yet. We signed papers Friday, and took it to the water that weekend. I must say, that one weekend alone was worth all the $$! This boat is so much nice, better, IT RUNS!!! I just cannot explain....period.

As for me, work is good. A little weird, but good. I was sitting in orientation my first day listening to the "People Services" (remember that), and I began thinking to myself, "am I sitting in a Time Share sale?" "Are they really trying to sell me on their way of business?" It was rather interesting. The company is great, the work hard to reach goals, they really care about the patients and their employees. However, they just have a very...I'm going to use unique...way of doing business. Let me give you an example, our company is not considered a company. It is a village. And villages don't have CEO's, they have Mayors. We are not co-workers, we are teammates, and supervisors and managers are considered leadership (yes a little like camp counselors!) its just strange. Every few hours, I've noticed the sound of church bells in the distant. A little hesitant to ask, considering, I finally found a person to confide in and asked what it was. Well, let me tell you...its the "Town Cryer" WHAT??? I didn't ask....what in the hell?? But hey, they pay good, and I've met a lot of nice people. I'll just leave it at that. O and remember I told you to remember People Services...yes...that is our Human Resource Department. Why try and screw with things that work...

So that's it. I think. I have lots more thoughts, been doing a lot of thinking about rearranging the flowerbeds in the yard. Yes, a little bit like you would rearrange your living room furniture. Trevor thinks I'm nuts, but that's a different subject for a different day.

let the lunch packing begin...

Where do I start, geez I haven't talked to this thing in such a long time it feels like. So much has changed, is changing, and has happened. I'll start off with the 'best' thing of them all, we are finally getting out boat disaster cleaned up, thanks to a wonder attorney named Tim Quenelle. They have finally agreed to work with us and give us our $27,000 back, which is a HUGE relief to me!! I just cannot stand to even look at this thing in my back yard anymore as it has caused us nothing but trouble from the beginning. I will be glad when we can show back up at their 'fine establishment' and unhook the piece of shit in their hands!! Anyhoo, there is my 'problem fixed' #1. The next thing that is changing, and some of you may know, but I have decided to go back to work. Actually, I should restate that and say, Trevor wanted me to go back and I decided that it couldn't hurt to apply. Little did I know that I would get hired on the spot! It is a great feeling knowing that I still have my interviewing skills, but its almost like that's where I wanted it to end. I wanted to Ace the interview and walk away with the satisfaction and self accomplished feeling! I start on Monday, and let me tell you, when you have been on your own schedule for 19 months, 5am is going to come WAY to early!! I have tried waking up at 6 all this week so when Monday comes, I'm not totally a wreck. Yesterday, I got up and drove my new commute (I must say its a little longer than the one I have now) and on my way there I actually started feeling nauseous. Is that possible...to feel nauseous from waking up to early?? (and no all you speculators out there...I'M NOT PREGNANT!!) Trevor says its called 'lazy ass syndrome' or LAS. Whatever. So here I am, back to packing lunches, and scheduling my day into a 3 hour time frame. O, and as for Kinley, I found a great babysitter for her to go to. She has other kids, mostly boys so kinley will be right at home, and she is super nice. Lots of toys and a big fenced in back yard to play in. The best part is she is right on our way home, so Trevor can pick her up or I can. Its going to be great. I think she is striving for more attention and is, frankly, bored at home with me. So I guess we will see. All I can do is try my best and see what happens.

And as for our summer, we obviously haven't been to the lake. I know, we could have rowed our way out to a nice little lagoon and had a picnic lunch, but I think I would have been way to tempted to pull the plug and let the f'er sink to the bottom. We have, however, kicked off our string of weddings. Last weekend, we were in Wilbur for Krysta and James wedding. I must say, I had a little bit to much fun. It could be because they ran out of food and I drank on a Caesar salad. And then for some reason, around o I would say beer 10 I decided to pull out my camera. My $700 camera. Don't ask, I could barely walk across the dance floor let alone operate a camera. But I did, and I took 234 pictures, some good, but as the night went on, my aim got worse and pretty soon you could only see the tops of peoples heads. or I would try and operate the zoom and get a picture of only cheeks and eyeballs. ah, it was fun. This weekend, we have another wedding in carnation. Then the 4th of July, and hopefully by then we have a nice, new, RUNNING, boat (key word is running) and we can officially start our summer!!

The Obamas vs. The Engs

I never thought that I would end up marry someone from Ritzville. As high school rivals, you just dont ever imagine it happening. But we all know that I did, and it has been one of the best things ever. A few weeks ago, we had an HOA meeting (thats Home Owners Association for all you small town folk east of the mountain) and during that meeting, we were required to elect new officials. Someone, God knows who, spoke up and nominated Trevor as president. WTF?? He doenst have time to mow the lawn let alone be the president of an HOA! Turns out, there was a second to his nomination and before I knew it I was not only married to someone from Ritzville but I was the First Lady!!

Its been a few weeks now, and so far we (I say 'WE' because he gets the complaints and passes it down to me to "investigate") have only had one order of business. One house a few blocks down from ours has decided to discontinue his garbage services as of December and now there is a rat infestation not only in his house, but they have taken up residency in his neighbors as well. The rats destroyed his neighbors brand new Ford Freestyle and the owners had to turn in an insurance claim to replace the entire interior of the car. So here I sit looking up who to complain to and how to take care of the problem....ah the life of the First Lady!!!

a little food and a little Mariners...

This is it. Monday has arrived again and here I sit wondering what happened to the weekend. My mom and grandma came Saturday morning. I went up to work for a few hours and then Trevor and I ran a few errands that afternoon. Saturday night we had friends over and BBQ'ed beautiful steaks (sorry Nikki...I'm bad about remember the pictures!) I made a jicama salad...my new favorite summer dish, and Grandma made her potatoes and peas. We finished it with garlic bread and banana bars for dessert. It was fabulous!! Sunday, Trevor and I went to the Mariners game. He bought me the tickets for my birthday. It was so nice to leave all of our problems, AKA the boat, and our responsibility, AKA Kinley, at home and just enjoy the day. We had great seats, actually we spent the first 3 inning in someone else's seats. I've always laughed and been annoyed at events watching people walk aimlessly up and down the isle because they cant find their seat. Well, we were those people!! :) I guess we just got a little twitter-painted at the fact we didn't have a 1 1/2 year old, a diaper bag, snacks and stroller in tow :) So, once we found OUR seats it was great. I love baseball, mainly for the food! We started it off with 2 pizza's and 2 Pepsi's. Then at the 6th inning we hit up the corn dogs and chili nachos, much to Trevor's disgust because we couldn't find the garlic fries, and of course more pepsi! :) Anyways, the Mariners are, well, they are the Mariners. I've heard rumor that this is Ken Griffy's last year so I only took pictures of him...Yes, I looked like a freakin tourist taking pictures of the most sought after player the Mariners have!

That afternoon we went down to my aunt and uncles in Sumner and ate, once again, chicken and fruit.
So that's it. Another weekend under our belt. Next weekend we will either be in Vancouver at Trevor's nieces graduation or in Wilbur kicking off our summer weddings! Either way it will come and go way to fast. And some news, we are looking at starting a new change. I'm considering applying for a full time job. Nothing has been decided and we are still weighing our options. I love and would greatly miss being with my little Kinley all day, everyday. But I'm thinking she could use some time with other kids and I could use some time with other adults :) Anyways...that's about all of our excitement. I'll keep you posted as our week continues!
